No Tomato Chili

beef (ground, 90% lean) 1
onion (medium, chopped) 1
green pepper (medium, chopped) 3 tablespoons
garlic powder 4 tablespoons
chili powder 2 teaspoons
black pepper 2 teaspoons
cumin (ground) 2 teaspoons
oregano (dried) 8 ounces
kidney beans (low sodium, canned, rinsed, drained) 10 ounces
chili sauce (low sodium) 14 ounces
beef broth (low sodium) 3
jalapeno peppers (fresh, chopped)Directions
Instructions
- Place beef in large skillet
- Brown beef and break into crumbles
- Drain and add chopped onions and peppers to skillet
- Saute till onions and peppers are tender
- Mix in chili powder, garlic powder, cumin, black pepper, and oregano with 2/3 cup water
- Continue cooking on medium heat
- Add in the remaining ingredients and turn the heat down to low
- Cover and let simmer for around 30 minutes
