Creamy Garlic Chicken Pasta
This delicious pasta is surprisingly easy to throw together for a quick meal. Each serving is a great protein source, is lower in sodium, and counts as 1 carb servings.

chicken breast (cooked diced) 4 cups
penne (cooked) 1 tablespoon
butter (unsalted) 2 cloves
garlic (minced) 2 tablespoons
flour 1 cup
chicken broth (low sodium) 1⁄2 cup
milk (low fat) 2 teaspoons
parsley flakes 1 teaspoon
onion powder 1⁄2 teaspoon
black pepper 1⁄3 cup
parmesan cheese (low sodium, grated)Directions
Instructions
- Melt butter in large sauce pan
- Add garlic and cook over medium heat for about 1 minute
- Add in broth, milk, and flour, stirring frequently until sauce boils and thickens
- Add parsley, black pepper, onion powder, and cheese
- Continue stirring
- Once cheese has completely melted, add chicken and pasta
- Mix thoroughly
- Continue cooking a few more minutes
- Serve hot
